How to know which Section or Area you should register and vote in

If you try to register or vote at a Section or Area which is not your own, you will not be allowed to. When you register you will be asked what your address is. If it doesn’t match the centre you are trying to register at, you will be asked to register elsewhere.

In most cases, people will register and vote at their nearest centre. However, some homes may be on the edge of 1 Section and actually belong to another. The best way to find out is to ask your neighbours where they have registered.

If there are two registration centres in your Section you can choose which one you want to register at.

But remember… You must register and vote in the same place.
